Dear John,

This June, the Ms. Foundation is working hard on our goal to gather the resources needed to support the thriving, resistant and vibrant social justice movements led by women and girls of color in every state in this country. Join our June Matching Gift Challenge right now to double your gift [ [link removed] ].

We know that women and girls of color have been pivotal frontline leaders in the powerful, social change movements that paved the way for a more equitable and just democracy. But this invaluable work is far from complete and it is woefully underfunded. Our research shows that, on average, only $5.48 of charitable funding per year is designated to each woman or girl of color in the United States. Help us to make sure that we do better than this by making your gift to our June Matching Gift Challenge right now.

Here are the three ways in which lives change when we support organizations led by women and girls of color:

* Increased levels of economic security and opportunity
* Less violence in schools, communities, workplaces, and gathering spaces
* Freedom and agency over decisions about the body, sexuality, and reproductive health

The Ms. Foundation centers the lived experience and leadership of women and girls of color because we believe that this approach will create the far-reaching, systemic change required to increase justice and equity for all women and girls. Our June Matching Gift Challenge offers you the opportunity to make your $25 gift into $50, your $100 gift into $200, or your $1,000 gift into $2,000 so that your generosity can help to achieve a future in which racial and gender equity is possible. Will you make your gift today? [ [link removed] ]

If we all do our part, we will see the difference. Stand with us.

In solidarity,

Teresa C. Younger
