Friend, at this point, there isn’t time for vague plans and promises about climate change. Addressing the climate crisis requires a thorough vision that accounts for environmental justice, and can’t be condensed into a pithy retort or catchy one-liner.
The Democratic Party must acknowledge the climate crisis with its own debate. The candidates’ plans need to be challenged before the American people, and examined carefully.
I’m calling on the DNC to take this fight more seriously, and host a separate climate debate — will you join me?
The climate crisis motivated me to political activism nearly 10 years ago, and it’s one of the main reasons I decided to run. Every decision we make for the future of our country — for our planet — relies on how we address this serious issue.
