A couple weeks ago Grist announced the exciting news that we acquired Pacific Standard ([link removed]) , keeping more than 20,000 psmag.com ([link removed]) stories accessible and available in the public domain. The announcement was met with kind words of excitement and support, a sentiment we hope you felt too.

As a fan of independent, nonprofit journalism, it’s possible you’ve already heard of Grist. But if you haven’t, I wanted to take a minute to introduce us.

Grist has been reporting on climate change and environmental issues since 1999 (yep, the dawn of the internet!). Back then, our priority was bringing America up to speed on the state of the climate. Today, we shine our beacon on the best and brightest climate solutions ([link removed]) we see on the horizon, investigate environmental inequities from Houston ([link removed]) to San Bernardino ([link removed]) , and advise readers like you on life in the era of climate change ([link removed]) .
