John -- the Supreme Court just delivered a huge win for families targeted for deportation by the Trump Administration.
They ruled against the government's attempt to terminate DACA (the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program) -- and in doing so, ended Trump's attempt to put 700,000 of our friends, family members, and neighbors on a fast track to deportation. As a DACA recipient, I am encouraged that the Supreme Court stood on the right side of history.
But the fight is far from over. We still have to demand that our government extend work authorization and implement permanent protections for DACA recipients. As people across the country rise up against the murder of Black people by police, it's also important to recognize that migrant justice is a Black issue. Many DACA recipients are Black, and ending anti-Black violence also means ending deportations and ensuring permanent protection for Black migrants.

The DACA program promised Dreamers like me that if we came forward and passed background checks, we'd receive permission to live and work lawfully in the United States.
But after initially promising to "deal with DACA with heart," the Trump Administration has tried to renege on that promise at every turn, and instead doubled down on its draconian, white supremacist, anti-immigrant agenda.
At this historic moment, it is time Congress and the Trump administration uphold the wishes of the American people by taking proper action against anti-Black violence -- which includes ending the deportation of Black undocumented immigrants during the pandemic -- and ensure permanent protections for TPS, Dreamers, and for our families to be safe and together. The United States is our home and we are here to stay.
Join our digital rally to call for the Trump administration to live up to our promise to DACA recipients.
Thanks for all you do,
