John,
Members of the labor community
and allies are invited to join a peaceful direct action event TOMORROW,
Juneteenth starting at 5pm in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. The
effort is being coordinated by a group of unions that includes the Painters,
Ironworkers District Council of The Mid-Atlantic States, the Union Veterans
Council and Metro Washington Council affiliates.
This is a call to the streets to
stand up for the ideals that this country was founded on but not lived up to.
We must work towards a more perfect union with liberty and justice for ALL!
As members of the labor movement,
we fully understand the power of one's voice and solidarity. Here is your
opportunity to add your voice to the call for racial justice.
