Friend --

In the last few years, the members of ACCE took on work that called on us to be bigger, bolder, and more audacious than we've ever been before.

We took on the biggest Wall Street and corporate landlords in the nation.

We put rent control and stronger eviction protections on the ballot in Sacramento, National City, and Oakland and supported allies in their successful fights to pass a rent stabilization policies  in Los Angeles County, Inglewood, and just last week in Culver City.

We stopped dozens of unjust evictions, halted huge rent increases, and organized new tenant unions.

NOW WE’RE SO CLOSE to winning our biggest victory yet: the Tenant Protection Act of 2019 (Assembly Bill 1482) - but we can’t do it without you.

We've got two days left to get 300 new sustainers to join ACCE in fighting displacement over the long haul and passing the Tenant Protection Act of 2019 this year! <[link removed]>

Our family has been homeless since 2017, after we endured a wrongful eviction while I was 6 months pregnant. My husband works every day, and yet finding a place we can afford seems to be impossible.

We're doing everything we can to find a home for ourselves, and for the countless families I know are out there facing the same situation we're in. For the past year I've gone to the capitol nearly a half dozen times to lobby my legislators, done actions on corporate landlords, attended dozens of organizing meetings and made countless phone calls. All of those activities require time and money, and that is why we need your support.

No level of support is too big or too small. Become a sustaining donor now to stop displacement in California and keep families in their homes!  <[link removed]>

We’ve got less than a month to ensure AB 1482 gets passed on the Senate floor and then again in the Assembly and ACCE is prepared to do whatever it takes to help move the votes to make it happen. But we can’t do it without your help. From bringing the voices of ACCE members facing rent increases, evictions and even homelessness to Sacramento to lobby - to organizing our allies to door-knock in legislator’s neighborhoods - this fight costs money.

I'm doing everything I possibly can to protect my family and win statewide renter protections. Join me and become a monthly sustainer to ACCE now to fight displacement across California and keep families in their homes!  <[link removed]>
