Impeach Kristi Noem for cuffing a US senator just for asking questions!

Mike Johnson drowned out by hecklers at chaotic presser

With pearls clutched and MAGA ogle goggles firmly affixed, House Speaker Mike Johnson laughably tried to frame yesterday's assault of Democratic Senator Alex Padilla during a Homeland Security press conference as an act of aggression perpetrated by... the guy who was flung to the floor and handcuffed for simply trying to ask a question. House Democrats were having exactly none of Johnson's bullshit, peppering the House speaker with barbs and demanding he stand up for Congress. A clearly flustered Johnson replied, "I'm not gonna respond to that," before immediately responding to that. "I think the American people can draw their own conclusions... they saw a senator acting... er, wildly inappropriate, I'll leave it at that." Uh, yeah, Mike. We can draw our own conclusions, actually. Physically assaulting a US senator on live TV is a real bad look. The stuff of dictatorship, in fact.

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Kristi Noem humiliated trying to justify assault of Senator Padilla

Gestapo Barbie tried to spin her goons throwing Sen. Padilla to the ground and handcuffing him by explaining that "nobody knew who he was" (as if that somehow makes it ok) but there's one obvious hole in that ridiculous argument. It was a PRESS conference, there's tons of video from every angle, and you can clearly see him walk up and say, "I'm Senator Padilla." But Noem has so little respect for the public that she thinks she can wave her hand and make it all go away...and that there's an entire network of sycophants who will immediately back her up.

Rep. Seth Moulton publicly torches Pete Hegseth over Signalgate

Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton, who served four tours in Iraq as a Marine infantry officer, took Trump's TV host Pentagon chief Pete Hegeseth to task in a scorching takedown during a Congressional hearing. Moulton laid into Hegseth for discussing classified information on an unsecured phone line and his general unfitness to lead our military. Chip in to help Moulton keep on the pressure and hold Trump's toadies accountable!

Trump humiliated as Israel launches massive strikes on Iran right after last-ditch plea
In yet another remarkable display of geopolitical impotence, Donald Trump unsuccessfully begged for "diplomacy" on Truth Social just hours before Israel launched a brazen strike on Iran, targeting the country's nuclear facilities and wiping out top Revolutionary Guard members in a series of destructive attacks that leveled apartment buildings and killed dozens of innocents. Despite the MAGA cult leader's self-proclaimed deal-making genius, he could do nothing to stay Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's trigger finger and setting the region further aflame. Bibi dragged Donald further into the muck, thanking the US president for his continued support shortly after the attack, while Trump’s team issued hastily prepared statements insisting they played no role in the strike. For a fella who fancies himself a master negotiator on the world stage, Trump sure is racking up a lot of "L's."

Take Action: Tell Trump: Do not hold $45 million military parade for yourself!

Fort Bragg soldiers behind Trump during speech were screened for loyalty and appearance, report says: "No fat soldiers"
In a heartwarming tribute to individualism and equal opportunity, soldiers at Fort Bragg were reportedly handpicked for the MAGA cult leader's partisan pep rally speech this week based on two key qualifications: undying political loyalty to Donald and also not being fat. Before Trump took the stage, troops were told to self-report if they didn’t vibe with Dear Leader’s politics so they could be promptly swapped out with a sycophant who would hoot and holler at all the right applause lines. Troops carrying a few extra pounds were also shuffled out of frame, because ew. "This has been a bad week for the Army for anyone who cares about us being a neutral institution," one commander at Fort Bragg said. "This was shameful. I don't expect anything to come out of it, but I hope maybe we can learn from it long term." Something tells us the folks most in need of learning will take exactly nothing away from this brazen stunt, except to do it again and again, 'cause it sure played well for the Fox News crowd.

Hegseth says the Pentagon has contingency plans to invade Greenland if necessary

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth appeared to acknowledge that the Pentagon has developed plans to take over Greenland — and Panama — by force if necessary but refused to answer repeated questions at a combative congressional hearing Thursday about leaking classified military operations on Signal group chats. Democratic members of the House Armed Services Committee repeatedly got into heated exchanges with Hegseth, with some of the toughest lines of questioning coming from military veterans demanding simple yes or no answers to questions Pete definitely did not want to answer. The United States military drawing up "contingency plans" to "invade" Greenland, an autonomous island territory in the Kingdom of Denmark with a population of 56,000, is laughably problematic, but then Donald Trump obviously has imperial designs and Greenland is clearly the shiny object of his current affection. Hegseth's testimony was going so badly, Republican Rep. Mike Turner stepped in and attempted to throw the Defense secretary a lifeline: "It is not your testimony today that there are plans at the Pentagon for taking by force or invading Greenland, correct? I sure as hell hope that is not your testimony." Alas, it was.

Trump team sends removal notices to more than half a million migrants allowed into the country under Biden-era program
The Department of Homeland Security has begun issuing termination notices to hundreds of thousands of migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela — marking a sharp reversal of a Biden-era humanitarian parole program after the conservative-stacked Supreme Court greenlit the MAGA cult leader's push to dismantle it. The notices deliver a stark ultimatum: leave voluntarily or face the indignity of detention and forced removal "without an opportunity to make personal arrangements and return to your country in an orderly manner." The program, which welcomed over half a million vetted migrants with sponsors and background checks, offered a rare legal pathway for those fleeing extreme poverty and hardship in their homelands. For Trump and his fellow racist, anti-immigration ghouls, letting all those folks from "shithole countries" come to America was clearly a bridge too far. They're eating the dogs, for god's sake! Oh hey, any updates on getting more people to emigrate from "places like Norway?"

Progressives launch mass movement to ruin Trump's parade

No Kings: Donald Trump’s birthday is coming up on June 14th, and to celebrate, he’s indulging his most authoritarian impulses in an obscenely expensive waste of public money. He’s planning a military parade that is estimated to cost at least $45 million in taxpayer funds and will include thousands of troops, warplanes, tanks, horses, mules, parachuters, musical performances, celebrities, and athletes — all to massage his own ego and let him feel like a dictator or a king. That’s why the No Kings movement is working overtime to spark a mass protest movement around the country and rain on Trump’s parade! Click here to find a protest near you!

GOP-controlled House votes to strip $1.1 billion from public media
In a bold move to protect Americans from the super scary likes of Big Bird and Steve Inskeep, House Republicans narrowly voted to defund PBS and NPR — at Trump’s request, of course — stripping away $1.1 billion that was already approved in previous funding packages. Republicans' latest assault on common sense and human decency brings the total amount rescinded from already passed funding bills to a whopping $9.4 billion. The bulk of the cuts — $8.3 billion — are to foreign aid programs addressing global public health, international disaster assistance, and hunger relief, because cruelty is the point.

Republican ex-congressman confirmed to head IRS, an agency he once worked to abolish
The Republican-controlled Senate voted Thursday to confirm scandal-plagued Billy Long to serve as head of the Internal Revenue Service, an agency that he sought to abolish during his tenure in Congress. Unsurprisingly, every Republican senator voted in favor of confirming Donald Trump’s IRS commissioner pick in the face of revelations that he was closely involved in promoting a fraud-riddled tax credit and allegations that he could be implicated in two separate bribery schemes. In a floor speech ahead of Thursday’s vote, Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden said that Long is "knee-deep in tax scams, corruption, and cover-ups" that should disqualify him from leading the IRS." Wyden continued, "According to court documents, Mr. Long is implicated in a bribery conspiracy involving a healthcare company located in his Missouri district while he was a member of Congress. The case resulted in convictions and guilty pleas of more than a dozen people, including elected officials, businessmen, and lobbyists... This ought to be an easy no. It’s one corruption bombshell after another with former Congressman Billy Long."

South Carolina anti-drag queen Republican busted with child porn
South Carolina state Rep. Robert John May III, the recipient of the 2023 "Legislator of the Year" award from Moms for Liberty, has been indicted on ten counts of possessing and distributing child sex abuse materials. Somehow, not a drag queen. Definitely a rabid, anti-gay Republican though! Almost like there's some kind of pattern there.
