Nominate a coworker for a Never Quit Service Award.

AFSCME Family,

AFSCME members serve their communities with pride 24/7 — in the best of times and the worst of times.

And you’ve never risen to the challenge more than during the coronavirus pandemic. Over the last several months, front-line heroes — from nurses to sanitation workers to child care providers — have been putting their own safety on the line to be there when their communities need them most.

AFSCME’s Never Quit Service Award was created to celebrate this kind of dedication — to honor public service workers who go above and beyond the call of duty. Nominate a coworker here.

Facing a pandemic without precedent in our lifetimes, AFSCME nurses and hospital workers are working around the clock to save lives while exposing themselves and their own families to risk.

Facing a dangerous and highly contagious virus, many AFSCME paramedics and first responders are pulling double shifts even as they are forced to reuse personal protective equipment.

Early on, child care workers helped educate children and families on proper handwashing technique and other ways to stay healthy. Even after schools and businesses shuttered, many child care centers stayed open.

When the economy crashed and millions of workers were laid off, unemployment benefits claims processors in every state went into overdrive to get them the help they needed.

Communities across this country can hardly thank you enough for your sacrifice. With incredible courage in the face of uncertainty, you are quite literally saving our nation. Your work deserves recognition. Nominate a coworker for AFSCME’s Never Quit Service Award.

In solidarity,
