Friends,

Yesterday Senator Padilla was thrown to the ground and handcuffed by FBI agents because he asked Kristi Noem a question at a public press conference. His crime? Asking a question while Hispanic. (Agents claimed they “didn’t know he was a Senator”--but who cares?!)

Any member of the public, much less a U.S. Senator, has the right to ask a question at a press conference.

I went on CNN to call out the FBI for their violent treatment of a United States Senator. It’s embarrassing. If you’re able, consider supporting Senator Padilla by splitting a contribution between his campaign and mine. [[link removed]]

If you don’t think this is authoritarian law enforcement, then what is?

It’s not democracy.

No matter what happens, I will not back down from this administration. It’s on all of us to continue standing up, speaking out, and fighting back.

Thanks for all you do.

-Seth
