** 2. CAROLINA JOUNAL: NC VALUES OP-ED: Middle School Girl to Lawmakers: Please Donât Make Me Room with a Boy
------------------------------------------------------------
"At a quiet, wooded summer camp in North Carolina, 13-year-old Chloe Button stepped hesitantly into a rustic cabin, duffel bag in hand. A lifelong Girl Scout, Chloe had always looked forward to camp â until now. She just found out that a boy claiming a female identity was assigned to sleep in her cabin.
Chloe asked to be moved to another cabin, but her request was denied. As the days passed, she struggled with growing anxiety. She changed clothes behind a towel and lay awake at night. Instead of being a retreat, the cabin seemed more like a cage. She felt trapped and alone."

** 3. NC VALUES: âąď¸ Help Us Protect NC Girls Before Time Runs Out
------------------------------------------------------------
Our daughters deserve safety, privacy, and dignity. But right now, North Carolina law doesnât define the words âmaleâ or âfemale,â nor does it protect girls from male intrusion in spaces that should be private. Thatâs why the Womenâs Safety and Protection Act (HB 791/SB 516) is urgently needed.
This common-sense legislation defines âmale,â âfemale,â âman,â âwoman,â and âsexâ by biologyâand protects women and girls by ensuring that private spaces like bathrooms, changing rooms, sleeping quarters in schools, prisons, crisis shelters, dorm rooms, and overnight field trips remain single-sex.
Time is short. Legislators have made it clear that they plan to wrap up the legislative session by the end of June. That gives us just weeks to make our voices heard and get this bill across the finish line.

** Weekly Prayer: Freedom
------------------------------------------------------------
LORD, you have blessed us with a spiritual liberty that is so wonderful and beyond description, that it can only be understood through experiencing a life-giving relationship with Christ. However, we also recognize that in your grace, you have blessed our country with a political liberty that enables us to openly proclaim the experience of a life lived in the freedom of the Gospel.
LORD, as individuals and as a nation, may we never take the inalienable right of religious freedom for granted. Right now our country has faced a rapid increase in the number of attacks made against this cherished right. We have seen groups across our public arena increase in boldness and frequency their smears against religious liberty. They claim it is bigotry, when we know it is the security of the greatest of all possible loves.
Be with your people and our country as it continues to protect the constitutional right protected by our nationâs Founders. Be with legislators and the Supreme Court, as they determine through their actions the protection of this particular and fundamental freedom.
âIt was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.â (Galatians 5:1)
âFor you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.â (Galatians 5:13)
âAct as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God.â (1 Peter 2:16)
Amen
Sincerely,
Tami & Team
