Last week, the Trump administration announced it was rescinding Biden-era federal guidance that required ALL emergency rooms across America to provide an abortion if the procedure would save a patient’s life; a policy meant to protect women in abortion ban states from the worst outcomes.

We are sounding the alarm. The states with impending abortion bans (like Virginia) have elections coming up – and we have an opportunity to ensure pro-choice majorities will prevail.

Kimberly ran for this seat last cycle – and only fell 53 votes short of winning. Now, she is gearing up for a rematch against the same ineffective and out-of-touch opponent she ran against last cycle.

Kimberly’s opponent, Del. Kim Taylor is vocally anti-choice. Her family is affiliated with Crisis Pregnancy Centers, which are fake clinics aimed at misleading pregnant women about their healthcare options. She has also sponsored a bill that would apply criminal penalties for abortion services.

There are 51 Democrats in the House of Delegates – and 49 Republicans. When so much is on the line, we can’t afford to take a single race for granted. We must hold onto the *extremely slim* pro-choice majority in Virginia’s state government. Kimberly’s opponent has already voted NO on the amendment that would protect abortion access in the state.
