Hi John,
We learned something shocking: the Trump administration’s latest gun
deregulation was opposed by their OWN top lawyer at the Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
Robert Leider, Trump’s hand-picked pro-gun chief counsel at ATF,
personally tested "forced reset triggers," devices that transform
semiautomatic weapons into something close to machine guns. Even Leider
found these devices dangerous and believed they should remain classified
as machine guns.
But the Trump administration ignored their own lawyer’s advice, quietly
settling litigation to allow these rapid-fire triggers back into our
communities.
If even the administration’s own pro-gun lawyer thinks this is too
extreme, what does that tell us about their priorities?
We can’t let this dangerous decision go unchallenged. It’s time to fight
back and demand accountability.
