I was glad to join April Ryan for Tea with The Contrarian this week.
We talked about the illegal deployment of US soldiers to Los Angeles, the abuse of Senator Alex Padilla, the big, ugly, deadly (and incredibly unpopular) bill in Congress, and why we can’t bow down when authoritarians try to instill fear.
Tomorrow, more than 2,000 communities across the United States and around the world will host No Kings Day protests. I encourage you to join one near you [ [link removed] ]. I will be speaking at the flagship event in Philadelphia. You can watch a livestream here [ [link removed] ], starting at 1pm ET on June 14.
We’ll share the speech, along with an OpEd I’ve written with Indivisible ’s Leah Greenberg, later this weekend here on Our Moral Moment [ [link removed] ].
No Kings isn’t just a day. It’s another step toward building a moral movement that can reconstruct American democracy.
I hope you’ll also make plans to join us June 30th for our next Moral Monday in DC [ [link removed] ].
