Senator Padilla from California was handcuffed and forced to the ground
for trying to ask a question at a press conference today in Los Angeles:

These are the actions of a dictatorship: censorship and a total lack of
transparency.

This is not normal, and we cannot allow actions like this taken by this
administration to become our new normal. That’s not democracy.

This administration is terrified of taking a question from a sitting U.S.
Senator. Republicans have been dodging their constituents, refusing to
host town halls or answer a single question.

We’re organizing every day to reach and register Texans so that Democrats
can win up and down the ballot in 2026 and 2028. We can’t wait until the
next presidential election to organize to defeat extreme Republicans—the
