Hi John,
Thom Tillis is back at it. He’s not just aiming to cut Medicaid — now he’s targeting Medicare, setting out to fund tax breaks for billionaires at the expense of North Carolinian families. In his recent push for Trump’s Big, Ugly Bill, Tillis has made it clear he’s willing to erode our health care access, putting millions at risk.
In a HuffPost quote, Tillis suggested gutting Medicare, undermining health care access for over 2.2 million Medicare-eligible North Carolinians. As if it’s not enough that Tillis wants to strip health care from over half a million North Carolinians on Medicaid, now he’s coming after seniors by gutting Medicare.
That’s why I took the fight straight to Tillis’ Raleigh office to speak out against a plan that guts health care and raises costs — all to benefit billionaires. We cannot let North Carolina families bear the brunt of these backwards policies. Our health shouldn't be sacrificed so the ultra-wealthy can enjoy another handout.

We’ve said it before, and we’ll continue to sound the alarm: This isn’t about fiscal responsibility — it’s about prioritizing billionaire tax breaks over the well-being of working families. The cuts he’s proposing could lead to skyrocketing costs and slashed coverage — the very things we’ve been fighting against.
I’m asking you to join me in this fight. Together, we can build a movement that stands up to these harmful cuts and champions affordable health care for everyone. Will you help us show that our voices are more powerful than his billionaire backers?
