This is truly disturbing, John.
Just a few hours ago, Senator Alex Padilla was physically restrained and handcuffed at a press conference held by Trump Secretary Kristi Noem in Los Angeles.
Our Senator was representing millions of Californians with concerns about the chaos of this Administration. Instead of getting his questions answered, he was thrown to the ground and escorted out.
This was an extreme, aggressive, and unprecedented display. I’m standing with Senator Padilla, and I want you to know that I’ll be seeking answers about this brazen arrest from my position in Congress.
But for now, I need you to stand with me against what this incident represents: an out-of-control White House. If this could happen to our Senator in his own state, what will happen to everyday Americans perceived as blocking the MAGA agenda?
