Friend: this is what authoritarianism looks like.

Senator Alex Padilla – California’s elected U.S. Senator – was forcibly
removed, slammed to the ground, and handcuffed at a press conference in
Los Angeles for simply trying to ask a question.

There was no threat. No outburst. Just a senator doing his job –
challenging Trump’s hand-picked Homeland Security Secretary, Kristi Noem.
And for that, he was taken down in front of cameras like an enemy of the
state.

If they’ll do this to a Senator, what happens to the rest of us?

This is the regime Donald Trump is building in real time: a government
where dissent is punished, force is the first response, and public
officials are silenced if they step out of line.

That’s why this weekend’s protests couldn’t be more important.

We must take to the streets to confront the full force of a regime that is
willing to use violence and fear to silence dissent. What we’re seeing is
not isolated. It’s a pattern. A warning. And if we don’t meet it with mass

Donald Trump has sent thousands of National Guard troops and hundreds of
U.S. Marines into Los Angeles to silence peaceful protest – over the
objections of Governor Gavin Newsom and despite clear opposition from the
American people.

There was no request. No need. No legal justification. Just brute force.

This is the MAGA regime in motion.

A regime by the bullies, for the billionaires – using military power
against our families and our freedoms. They are turning our government
into a weapon to crush dissent and control the people.

This isn’t just happening in LA. While troops flood city streets, Trump is
staging a military spectacle in Washington, DC – in support of the very
kind of authoritarian power he’s always admired. And make no mistake: he’s
not stopping there.

This could spread anywhere.

Any protest. Any march. Any community that speaks up. This is the brutal
crackdown Trump has long envied by foreign dictators – and now, he’s
willing to deploy it, even though it’s illegal, unconstitutional, and
un-American.

We cannot allow this to stand. And we cannot allow it to spread any
further.
