Check this out. Small wins matter when our public lands are under such
unprecedented threats:

Our cherished public lands are facing profound threats. Recently, the Department of Justice issued an opinion paving the way for the White House to alter or abolish Chuckwalla and Sáttítla Highlands national monuments in California, and any other national monuments created by previous administrations. This upends a nearly 90-year precedent that national monuments are to be protected in perpetuity, laying the foundation for eliminating some of our most cherished outdoor spaces--and has a chilling effect on future conservation efforts.

And last night, the U.S. Senate included a shortsighted and sweeping provision mandating the sale of millions of acres of federal public lands across the West. Despite most Americans' opposition, federal leadership continues pushing unpopular plans to sell our history and shared inheritance to the highest bidder.

Trust for Public Land knows that even amidst these challenges, we can
expand access to nature and strengthen protections for our most
cherished outdoor spaces. We are committed to continuing our work on
the ground and advocating for policies that preserve our public lands
for everyone, for generations to come, but this crucial work requires
consistent resources from members like you.

Will you make a gift today to help us continue this vital work?

Your support makes a direct impact, allowing us to proactively acquire
and protect land, safeguarding these incredible places from threats
and leaving them open for all to enjoy.

In fact, we are thrilled to share great news about progress at Saguaro
National Park.

This iconic desert landscape is poised for a victory against these
very threats. This year, thanks to Trust for Public Land's
conservation efforts and our members' support, the park will grow by
48 acres, increasing its total size to over 92,000 acres. This
expansion will safeguard the unique Sonoran Desert habitat from
development and connect vital areas within its boundaries.

This expansion is a testament to what we can achieve when we work
together to secure our natural heritage. Your first gift today helps
us ensure more successes like this.
