National Republicans seem to think that if they spend enough money and launch enough attack ads against me, they can flip KS-03 red next year. To be completely honest, I think even some Democrats believe them.

But throughout my life, I’ve had people doubt me before. And every single time, I’ve proven them wrong.

When I vowed to work multiple jobs to pay my own way through college and become the first person in my family to graduate, people said it was impossible. But I did it anyway.

When I applied for a White House fellowship to serve under President Obama following years of work helping Native American reservations thrive, people thought I had no shot. But I got it.

And when I ran for Congress, aiming to flip a Republican seat in a solidly red state, people said I would lose. But I won. And I became one of the first Native women ever elected to Congress.
