Thank you for helping us break records and break open cages! We surpassed our goal of $10,000 and raised nearly $14,000 to free Black mamas. Thanks to you and your generous support we are able to continue to bail out community members and provide life-changing support services.

Your contributions allowed us to bail out six mamas since Mother’s Day. Every mama received personal protective equipment (PPE), groceries, grief counseling and sustainable housing to ensure they can shelter in place and stay safe with loved ones during the COVID-19 pandemic. Again, thank you for helping us free Black mamas.

In light of the national uprisings to demand police accountability and justice for Black lives, more mamas and caregivers are being detained, mistreated and abused while in jail. There is no justice in throwing people in cages and that's why we're working even harder to ensure our people are safe and free.

We look forward to partnering again with you next year for this annual initiative. Please be on the lookout for updates later this year on how you can be part of the Black Mama’s Bailout on Mother’s Day 2021. In the meantime, we are continuing to raise funds, and invite you to be a sustainer with a recurring gift.
