Friend,
Like so many Coloradans and Americans, I was devastated to hear the news of the antisemitic attack in Boulder on June 1. My heart goes out to the victims, their family and friends, who were impacted by this senseless and despicable attack.
This attack has every mark of a hate crime. Peaceful marchers were attacked because they are Jewish. This has impacted Jewish people here in Colorado and across the country. We have seen the rise in antisemitism nationwide, including the murder of two Israeli embassy workers and the attempted arson attack on Governor Shapiro. Enough is enough – the time to stand up against antisemitism and hatred in all forms is now.
Last week, I attended a vigil in Boulder to stand for the victims and send the message loud and clear: Antisemitism has no place in Colorado. Hatred and violence must stop, and Americans across the country must work together to root out antisemitism and racism of any kind.
Thank you,
Jena Griswold
