John – We know that people may not consider Iowa a swing state anymore, and they're skeptical that any Democrat can win.

But things are quickly changing on the ground here, and J.D.'s exactly the type of candidate who can take advantage of the opportunity.

Iowa has seen three state legislative special elections since the start of the year. In each district, Democrats ran more than twenty points ahead of the 2024 presidential numbers.

This wasn't by coincidence. Iowans were turning out because they were fed up with attacks on our health care, their wages, and their fundamental rights. We were sick of politicians in both D.C. and Des Moines serving the billionaire class first.

Perhaps sensing the changing tide, our Republican Governor, Kim Reynolds, shocked the political world by opting out of running for a third term.

All this happened before Joni "we all are going to die" Ernst made her now-infamous comment and saw her approval ratings tank.

J.D.'s running against Ernst on the same values and principles he's always run on: universal healthcare, busting up monopolies, and taking on entrenched corporate power at all levels so that everyone has a chance to succeed.

That's how he nearly flipped a Trump+27 congressional district in 2018. That's why he won by seven points last November in a State House district Trump was carrying.

J.D.'s shown he can overperform by strong margins, and he's running in an environment where his ability to overperform puts Iowa among the most competitive Senate races in the country.
