Senate Passes The Great American Outdoors Act

Click HERE to watch my statement on the GAOA passing out of the Senate.

Yesterday, we passed the most important conservation bill for Montana and the nation in decades, the Great American Outdoors Act.

The bill provides permanent and full funding for a critical conservation program called the Land and Water Conservation Fund, and it addresses the billion dollar maintenance backlog facing our national parks and public lands.

This will help increase public access to public lands, support our national parks and protect our Montana outdoor way of life.

This conservation bill will also help create jobs in a time when we need it the most, protect wildlife habitat and improve land management.

Conservationists, sportsmen and women, and outdoor enthusiasts with all different viewpoints support my bipartisan legislation.

Montana’s public lands are part of our Montana way of life. They are part of our heritage.

That’s why I fought so hard to get this great conservation bill passed out of the Senate, and will continue working until it’s signed into law.

I also spoke on the Senate floor today before the vote. Click HERE to watch.
