Dear John, This is an historic moment. So far in 2025 more than a dozen Planned Parenthood clinics have closed, their taxpayer funding is hanging by a thread, and the highest-ranking federal health officials are undertaking a “top-to-bottom review” on the abortion pill. It’s possible that very soon, mail-order abortion could be walked back, and more Planned Parenthood locations could be closing their doors for good.
As the Supreme Court weighs the merits of South Carolina’s case against Planned Parenthood, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services considers a comprehensive sweep of data on the deadly abortion pill, Americans United for Life (AUL) is preparing for the possibility of a very different abortion landscape in America.
John, will you amplify this urgent effort to #DefundPP and #StopHarmingWomen with a contribution to AUL’s work right now? Every gift made until 11:59PM on 6/30 will be 2x matched! |
In my most recent letter to you, I shared a movement-wide coalition effort to publicize and act upon bombshell findings published by our partners at the Ethics and Public Policy Center (EPPC). Research by the EPPC found that nearly 11% of women who took the abortion pill mifepristone suffered a medical emergency, including hemorrhage, infection, and or even life-threatening complications. Can you imagine? More than 1-in-10 women will experience a severe complication from the abortion pill. |
