For the past few weeks, I’ve been focused on listening, learning, and demanding that Congress do more to answer the calls for justice and pass new policies to dismantle systems that hold us back.

We have critical fights ahead of us -- and as I look at the map toward progress, I know we need more diverse representation throughout all levels of government. While I’ve been engrossed in my work, I’ve been so grateful to know that our team at A Woman’s Place is working so hard to keep pushing our nation forward. One of the highlights of my days is hearing back from you about your thoughts and support of our efforts.

Those kind words have helped keep me energized. We have so much work to do if we’re going to ensure a more just world for all -- and we couldn’t do this without you.

I have seen firsthand the difference that women can make when they are elected -- whether pushing forward a bill to finally allow ratification of the ERA or introducing a legislative “Momnibus” package to address maternal mortality. Women are already changing the face of politics, and our country needs more women in office to advocate for these important policies and be the voice to uplift those who need it most.

If we can make it possible for more women to run and lead in their communities, we can have a profound impact on the future. But running for public office as a woman isn’t easy -- there are societal, financial, and structural barriers to overcome.

It is up to us to break down the systemic barriers and prejudices women face when running for office. In 2018, we elected our most diverse Congress, and with your help, we’re going to build on that historic success in elections to come.

But right now, we’re still $6,250 short of reaching our daily goal, and I would love to have you as one of our very first donors. You have been one of my most reliable supporters, and I need you with me now. Will you join me in this important work by giving $25, $10, $5, or whatever you can today?

With your donation today, we’ll throw our support behind women running in tough races in Pennsylvania and across the country.

Thank you for being part of this.

Best,
Mary Gay
