Groton’s Marine Science Magnet High School is ranked one of the top three schools in Connecticut.

So I asked Secretary of Education Linda McMahon directly: Why does the latest budget bill zero out funding for magnet schools — cutting $149 million from programs that help working-class kids access specialized, high-quality education?

Once again, the MAGA majority is prioritizing tax breaks for the wealthy over real investments in our children’s future. I’m fighting to restore that funding, but it’s going to take all of us to show that public education is not up for sale.
