Before I ran for office as a first-time candidate in 2018, I had doubts myself. I kept waiting for someone else to give me the opportunity to serve my community, but with all the terrible things happening in the first Trump administration, I decided I was done waiting.
With Trump and his cronies now emboldened, the same calling and urgency I felt in 2018 is even greater today.
If you’re wondering who is going to save us from the mess we’re in, stop looking around and start looking in a mirror.
Your voice has power—that’s exactly why extremists like Donald Trump are so invested in trying to silence it through chaos and intimidation.
Join a peaceful protest. Volunteer in your community. Make sure your friends, neighbors, and social media followers know what Trump is doing. Donate to a candidate or cause you believe in (I hope you’ll consider my campaign for governor!).
