John — I’ve been in this fight for a long time, and if there’s one thing I know, it’s that the climate crisis is no longer a distant warning.
We feel it in the record-breaking heat. We see it in the wildfires, the floods, and the rising toll on frontline communities. And still, too many of our leaders in Washington act like we have time to spare.
Last month made that crystal clear.
California had a mandate to phase out the sale of new gas-powered cars by 2035. It was an ambitious rule that could have shaped national climate policy for years to come. But when anti-climate lawmakers got the chance to roll back that law, dozens of congressional Democrats joined Republicans to overturn it.
I want to be crystal clear: At JanePAC, we don’t support leaders just because they have a “D” next to their name. We support leaders who are willing to take risks and fight to protect everything that’s on the line right now — from our planet to our fundamental rights and democracy.
We can’t afford to stay quiet when even our so-called climate allies are letting us down. So I’m personally reaching out to hear your take.
I value your voice, John. Your response will help my team and me understand where this movement stands, so we can keep putting pressure on the leaders in Congress, sharpen our strategy, and support the candidates who won’t back down when the stakes are high.
Let’s fight like hell for our planet.
xx Jane
