Greens believe this is a moment of opportunity.We can build a Canada that works: for people, for the planet, for generations to come.

But right now, too many Canadians are being left behind. Families are struggling to find affordable housing. Public services are strained. Climate disasters are growing more costly and more frequent.

At a time when Canadians need real solutions, we cannot afford to waste billions propping up the past. The Trans Mountain pipeline is a $34 billion example of what happens when massive public investment serves yesterday’s industries instead of tomorrow’s needs. We cannot afford a nation-building strategy like that.

Canada’s nation-building investments must go to the future, not to pipelines and fossil fuel subsidies.

If we want our economy and environment to thrive, public dollars must flow to wind, solar, modern grids, public transit, housing, and health. That is how we build a climate-safe, inclusive, and resilient country. A Canada we can be proud of building.

It means building a Canada where everyone has a safe place to live, where public services are strong, and where the next generation can count on a livable future. A True North, strong and free.
