Dear John,

Today is our last day to turn out volunteers to testify for the transportation package, so we need your support now! Will you help us advocate NOW for a transportation package that reflects all of our values?

We can’t achieve the lifeline transportation package all Oregonians deserve without your support. Please consider giving what you can today.

Hi John,

Big news: the Legislature has finally unveiled the long-awaited transportation package (HB 2025)! While this package includes several things we advocated for – like Safe Routes to School and wildlife crossings – some important items are missing, including dedicated funding for transportation electrification. Without climate investments, this package will take us backwards on climate. This is a critical moment; we’re all hands on deck turning out volunteers to testify at hearings this week and we need your help. Will you make an urgent donation to OLCV today to help?

This session you’ve shown up tirelessly in support of a transportation package that works for ALL Oregonians. With the help of grassroots supporters like you, the package includes important programs like Great Streets and Safe Routes to School, and funding for wildlife crossings and transit. One thing that is not included, however, is investments in electrification, which is essential for us to reduce toxic air pollution and meet our climate goals (read more here).

There’s still time left to make sure that the transportation package includes climate investments in electrification like incentives for electric trucks or vehicles and charging infrastructure. We’re recruiting folks to testify at hearings this week and we need your help now.

Will you help by donating now? Your support ensures that we have the resources we need to mobilize OLCV members to testify in support of a climate friendly transportation package.

Transportation not only connects us, but is also a lifeline for many people. We deserve a transportation system that works for all of us, and reflects our state’s values and commitments to our environment, climate, and communities. But the clock is ticking on our ability to get this done.

OLCV, our members, and our partners, have been working together for over a year to ensure the future of transportation reflects our values. The work isn’t done, but if all of us contribute however we’re able to now, I believe we can achieve a transportation package that reflects all of our values.
