Susan Collins loves to brag about her role in the Paycheck Protection Program -- but new research shows that Collins’ pet project left her home state behind.

New reporting from Axios shows that despite having the second highest increase in unemployment nationwide, Maine received the second lowest share of PPP funds. That's right, Maine ranked 49th in the share of money our small businesses received from the program.
