Hi John - Join us in urging the Senate to pass a moral budget that protects the vulnerable and Earth. We need your voice!
John,
Across the country, through direct service and social justice advocacy, ISN and our Ignatian-affiliated colleagues have witnessed the real-life impact that federal programs have on the dignity and well-being of vulnerable people: children living in poverty, immigrant families seeking safety and opportunity, low-income workers, and communities burdened by environmental injustice. These realities call us to moral clarity and action.
Earlier this week, I had the privilege of joining faith-based leaders from across the country for a Pentecost witness on Capitol Hill—a moment of shared prayer, bold proclamation, and deep conviction. We lifted our voices not just in worship, but in a call for justice rooted in the Gospel and the Catholic Social Teaching that shapes our mission.
The Holy Spirit came at Pentecost not to comfort the disciples, but to send them. Today, we are sent as well—into a world where budgets are moral documents and policy choices reflect who we are and whom we serve.
That’s why I’m asking you to join Ignatian Solidarity Network, and our Ignatian-inspired partners at Ignatian Volunteer Corps, Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest, and Ignatian Spirituality Projectto speak out at this critical moment as the U.S. Senate prepares to vote on a budget bill that could deeply harm vulnerable people and our planet.
