We know it’s difficult to keep up with all the news on the Trump administration’s corruption… but Senator Warner doesn’t want this latest story to go under the radar:
New emails revealed that National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard’s chief of staff asked for a “re-writing” of analysis in an intelligence assessment to align with a claim by the president, so as not to embarrass Trump…
And then the career intelligence professionals who put the assessment together were FIRED because they wouldn’t bend the knee and corrupt the intelligence.
When Senator Warner voted against Gabbard’s confirmation in the Senate, it’s because he didn’t believe she wouldn’t politicize intelligence – he was clearly right.
Look, the one thing about intelligence is it’s got to speak truth to power. You can’t “cook the books,” because this kind of manipulation by Gabbard and her chief of staff is dangerous. It undermines our intelligence community.
Trump and his entire administration clearly don’t care that politicizing intel poses a huge threat to national security. Or that it makes all Americans less safe.
Senator Warner is leading the fight to hold the Trump administration accountable, but he can’t win this fight alone.
