Dear SPUC supporter,

It has been confirmed that the extreme amendments to decriminalise abortion have been selected for debate. The Government has now published their Programme Motion and it provides for abortion to be debated as the second group of amendments on Tuesday 17th June. The debate is expected to start at about 4pm and last for about three hours.

I know that this has all come about very quickly, but I must emphasise how serious this situation is. If either of these amendments are voted through, it will mean abortion up to birth for any reason.

Please contact your MP NOW and tell them to vote NO to New Clauses 1 and 20.

If it is at all possible for you to get to London, please also attend our demo outside Parliament on Tuesday. We are holding it the morning before the vote in order to catch MPs going into Parliament.

Please sign up here and share widely with others.
