Dear Colleagues,

Like others in the education policy community, FutureEd has sought to help education policymakers and practitioners respond to the economic and health consequences of the coronavirus crisis and the shocking acts of racism and police brutality that have outraged the nation. In keeping with our mission to strengthen educational opportunities and outcomes for the nation’s disadvantaged students, we have produced a range of solution-oriented publications in recent weeks designed to support schools and colleges in a very trying moment.
They include:
* A revised and expanded guide ([link removed][UNIQID]) to reducing chronic student absenteeism that addresses new challenges educators face from the coronavirus and the trauma from recent attacks on African Americans, developed with Attendance Works.
* Insights into successful advocacy campaigns by a dozen national experts, in a new report ([link removed][UNIQID]) produced with our AdvocacyLabs partner 50CAN.
* A state-by-state analysis ([link removed][UNIQID]) of federal stimulus aid to schools and colleges.

* An argument for expanding national service ([link removed][UNIQID]) to put recent colleges graduates to work and help schools address learning loss.

* A listing of education events ([link removed][UNIQID]) planned for the coming months that have been rescheduled or cancelled.

This is not an easy time for American students. We all need to do what we can to ensure that they get the education they deserve.
