For Attorney General: Jay Jones

Dear Friends,

Over the next 5 and a half days, Virginia voters will be choosing the Democratic nominee for Attorney General. I believe Jay Jones is the best candidate for the job. Jay Jones has judgement and experience as an Assistant Attorney General and State Delegate, and is committed to fighting for reproductive rights, voting rights, and the economic opportunity and justice system that we need.

Jay is also running against a competitor who has taken $650K over the last 3 weeks from Dominion Energy. I know that is simply not the way that candidates should be elected. I've known Jay since we talked extensively in 2022 and I also talked with him and his opponent this year before endorsing. Jay will follow his own moral compass, which is why I support him.

I ask that you join me in voting for Jay Jones this week at the Courthouse, on Saturday at one of the three early voting locations, or by voting next Tuesday at your polling location. On the issues, Jay Jones understands the need to stand up to the Trump Administration and is intellectually ready to do it. He also is committed to fighting for consumers on utilities and on the other issues that impact Virginia families. As far as experience and judgment, Jay has been a litigator and Assistant Attorney General for the District of Columbia, as well as a State Delegate. As an attorney myself, after talking with him this year and over the years, Jay has the skills to lead Virginia as our next Attorney General and is the best choice to serve in that role over the next four years.

As far as supporters, numerous local elected officials from Arlington and across Virginia support Jay. Former Governors Ralph Northam and Terry McAuliffe and Congressman Suhas Subramanyam, Bobby Scott, and Eugene Vindman have endorsed him.
