"We have to make sure people understand what's at stake. We can't have another Wisconsin. We can't have another Ohio. We can't have another Georgia. People are going to lose their faith in their ability to cast their vote." -- Eric H. Holder, Jr.

Thieves should face consequences. Our system too often gives partisan politicians a green light to suppress the vote. By stealing elections, these vote suppressors end up back in office -- free of facing consequences.
We're making change.

Map manipulators believe they're unaccountable. Instead of winning elections fair and square, extreme legislators would rather suppress the vote and cast doubt on the validity of our elections to prevent people from participating. This is the textbook definition of cheating.
Take a look at what happened in Georgia. Long lines, extended delays, and a mix of logistical and technical problems created the perfect storm to suppress the vote during last week's primary election. Georgia's Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) could have easily taken action on any number of issues to stave off the mess, but he didn't. That's fundamentally wrong, and we must flip the script.
We must stop partisan politicians who suppress the vote. As November's election nears, we must work nonstop to prevent efforts to suppress the vote so everyone can participate, especially in the face of a public health crisis.
Last week -- we set a goal of 5,000 contacts to Congress demanding election protection measures. We must invest big in election protection efforts ahead of November. Can we count on you to pitch in $15 or whatever you can to protect our democracy?

Extreme partisans think our government is a tool to stay in power. But -- they're wrong. Government should be a tool to achieve fair, needed outcomes for all people, to set policy, and provide a direction for our country. Americans deserve a government that works for everyone, no matter who they are.
This is hard work. If achieving fairness was easy, someone else would have already done it. Luckily, we know our movement doesn't shy away from a challenge when the future of our democracy is at stake. We've already achieved so much together. Let's buckle down and continue doing the hard work.
Thanks for being a part of this,
