The exciting news just keeps coming! We just recently shared with you that our conference has changed from in-person to a virtual platform. With this change comes fantastic and focused learning opportunities during the conference and a myriad of learning opportunities throughout the year; opportunities that were not available prior to making this change.

To create these exciting opportunities, mindful changes were made to the two (2) day conference agenda. With our new normal over these past few months, our eyes have “zoom”ed in on our computer screens for endless hours each day. We want to do our part to reduce further technology fatigue and ensure that this conference experience is engaging for you.

The updated conference agenda focuses on Sexual Assault Response Teams (SART). The following sessions will be presented:

SART- The Next Chapter
Sexual Assault Response: Protecting the Investigation and the Victim
When Victims Get Prosecuted
Start by Believing: The Power of a Survivor-Centered Process
Civil Justice: The Other Side of Sexual Abuse Litigation

Keynote Speaker: Cyntoia Brown Long

You do not have to be a part of a SART to take part in this conference. These topics are relevant to all disciplines working within the field of sexual violence, including but not limited to, preventionists, advocates, educators, SANEs, LEOs, social workers, prosecutors.

Beginning on June 24, 2020, sessions originally scheduled for the conference are being scheduled virtually throughout the remainder of the year! In honor of PRIDE Month, a Live Stream of “Friendly or Competent: Raising the Bar to Provide Care to Transgender Victims of Violence”, presented by the Program Manager for the Center of Hope at Eskanazi, Becky Navarro, RN, MSN, CEN, SANE-A, and the Program Coordinator for the Transgender Health and Wellness Program, Morgan Younger, MSW, LCSW, CCM. More details to follow.

You will not want to miss out on one of these trainings, and these free learning opportunities fill up quickly! Please keep an eye out for future communications outlining dates and times of these exciting opportunities.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: If you were registered for the conference BEFORE we went VIRTUAL & FREE, you DO NOT have to re-register. You will be receiving a refund of your registration fee, and automatically re-registered for the VIRTUAL FREE conference. #Moving Forward.
