Texas Rising Action alum Ric Galvan WON his runoff election for San Antonio City Council District 6! This is the first time that a Texas Rising Action endorsed alumn candidate has won their seat! It's a huge testament to Ric, Texas Rising Action, and it's exactly what youth power in action looks like.

Here's what makes this victory so special:

Ric started with us as a high school senior and has grown into the kind of leader we knew he could become. His win proves that when young people organize, run for office, and show up to vote, we can change the politics of this state for the better.

This race came down to just 25 votes. Every single vote mattered, and young voters helped push Ric over the finish line. When we use our power as voters to push for our freedoms, Texas politics changes.
