John,
First, it was the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Now it’s the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska.

Trump-appointed officials at the Bureau of Land Management announced plans to reverse a Biden-era ban on drilling across millions of acres of protected public land in Alaska’s western Arctic.
If they succeed, fragile tundra ecosystems — home to polar bears, migratory birds, and caribou — could be compromised by oil rigs and pipelines.
This isn’t about energy independence, John. It’s about profit, plain and simple. Big Oil finds untouched wilderness, and instead of seeing beautiful ecosystems, they see dollar signs. Will you sign our petition to demand that the Department of the Interior stop their reckless plan? [[link removed]]
SIGN THE PETITION [[link removed]]The National Petroleum Reserve might sound industrial — but as you can see from the above photo, it’s one of America’s last wild landscapes. President Biden’s rule protected nearly half of the reserve from new oil and gas leasing, safeguarding habitats that Alaska Native communities rely on.
Now the Trump administration wants to gut those protections, opening the door to permanent ecological destruction. SEEC Members in Congress like Rep. Jared Huffman, Ranking Member of the House Natural Resources Committee, are already mobilizing, but they need to show that the public is watching.
We only have a narrow window before this rollback becomes final. Every signature we collect helps strengthen the case to keep these protections in place. Can we count on your support? [[link removed]]
