I have some updates for you in our legal battles for transparency from DOGE.

Last week, we sued the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Department of Education, Social Security Administration and the VA for failing to release records related to DOGE activities at their agencies.

We filed requests for records back in December that would shine a light on DOGE’s efforts to gut those agencies, but they still have not responded, even though they were legally required to. So we’re suing—because transparency is not optional.

We also have an update from the Supreme Court, which recently allowed us to get discovery from DOGE, though it extended a temporary pause and narrowed the scope of the records we can access in the case.

This means the Court is allowing our case against DOGE to proceed, potentially including depositions as part of discovery, after some additional process, which will allow us to ensure the American people learn more about how their government is being run and how momentous decisions to cut agencies and services are being made.
