john, this is a longer email, but it’s an important one, too — so I hope you’ll take a few minutes to read until the end.

Growing up, there weren’t a lot of folks like me in public office. I grew up in a small rural town and didn't come out to my family until college.

Angie Craig

Back then, I could hardly imagine that someone like me could run for office — not to mention flip a Republican-held congressional district.

It can be scary to take a swing and run for office, especially in a world where some people don’t support families or marriages like mine and my wife, Cheryl’s.

Against the odds — with lots of help from committed and open-minded Minnesotans — I became the first lesbian mom to serve in Congress in 2018. I’m the first lesbian Mimi (grandmother) to serve in Congress, too!

Now, I’m running for U.S. Senate to continue serving Minnesotans.

I’m not running for office just to make history. I’m running so I can help Minnesota families — the ones who look like mine and Cheryl’s, and those who don’t.

Donald Trump and his allies in the Senate want to divide us, but at the end of the day, most working families across America have more in common than not. Most folks just want a good-paying job, a safe, welcoming community and affordable everyday costs.

I’m ready to fight to make that a reality for every American, but first, I need your help to win this toss-up race. Can you split $10, or any amount, between Kim's and my campaign for U.S. Senate to start this race strong?

I’m honored to have folks like you on my team to help me win this next fight.

Thank you,

Angie
