My name is Andom Ghebreghiorgis. For nearly a year, Jamaal Bowman and I
both ran as bold progressives against 31-year Congressman Eliot Engel in
NY-16.

I recently left the race and endorsed Jamaal because every vote will be
needed to achieve this huge victory for progressives. Now, with our united
team, he's within striking distance of a win that will be felt around the
nation.

[ [link removed] ]I am so excited to support Jamaal's campaign. We have less than one
week. Can you be part of our united team and chip in $3 to his campaign
today?

Jamaal's a former Bronx principal -- I'm a former Bronx special education
teacher. We both support Medicare For All and a Green New Deal. We both
know firsthand what it’s like to be the victim of racial profiling and
police brutality.

We both had incredible grassroots volunteers and supporters, bringing
thousands of new folks into the political process for the first time.

As progressives, we deserve a Democratic Party that represents our values.
Especially in bright blue districts. Sadly, that's not what we have with
31-year incumbent Eliot Engel.

Engel has supported a militaristic foreign policy abroad while we’ve
struggled here at home. He voted for the Iraq War and opposed President
Obama’s critical Iran Nuclear Deal. On progressive issues, he pretends to
support some, but doesn't lift a finger.

Our district has been one of the most unequal in the country for a long
time. The pandemic ravaged Westchester and the Bronx, yet Engel failed to
deliver for us in our time of need. Despite 31% of our district severely
rent burdened and countless people out of work, Engel was one of the only
NYC Metro Area representatives who did not cosponsor Rep. Omar’s Rent &
Mortgage Cancellation Act or Rep. Jayapal’s Paycheck Recovery Act. We
deserve better. We demand better.

With the election in less than one week, the reason why I entered the race
hasn’t changed. I have faith that Jamaal can deliver a progressive win and
unseat Rep. Engel.

[ [link removed] ]I’m proud to stand with the PCCC, Working Families Party, AOC, Bernie
Sanders, and others in working to send Jamaal to Congress. Please chip in
what you can today.

(Want to volunteer? You can! [ [link removed] ]Sign up to phone or text local voters.)

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
