This is part of a broader, more sinister, and deeply un-American agenda from the Trump administration to surveil and criminalize individuals for their political views.
What we have now seen throughout the protests in Los Angeles is that Trump is practically eager to unleash the National Guard, the Marines, and other armed law enforcement against nonviolent protesters.
And as a result, over the last week we have seen videos of citizens beaten with batons, journalists shot with less-lethal ammunition, and countless nonviolent protesters tackled to the ground and brutally arrested.
This is why Ilhan has introduced legislation to make law enforcement violence against protesters a federal crime — now she is asking for your help to raise the alarm on this.
