My secret weapon when it comes to eating more veggies?
DIP!
Especially when it comes to my kids, dips make it so much more fun to eat those celery and carrot sticks.
But when I see the packaged dips from the store, the processed ingredients make my head spin...
Deans French Onion Dip: Skim Milk, Whey, Palm Oil, Water, Salt, Onion, Food Starch-Modified, Lactic Acid, Gelatin, Granulated Sugar, Citric Acid, Distilled Vinegar, Sodium Hexametaphosphate, Parsley, Potassium Sorbate (to Preserve Freshness), Carrageenan, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Hydrolyzed Torula and Brewers Yeast Protein, Hydrolyzed Corn and Soy Protein, Monosodium Glutamate, Locust Bean Gum, Soy Lecithin, Guar Gum.
YIKES.
This is why I created simple dip recipes that I can quickly whip up at home, and you'll find them in my latest cookbook, Food Babe Family.

One of our absolute favorites is the Sour Cream & Onion Dip
It transforms any veggie from boring to irresistible.
This is the dip I love to make for parties too...
Your veggie tray will become the STAR of the party.
Kids will actually fight over the radishes (yes, radishes!), and the adults will keep asking for the recipe.
Give this a try and you'll see what I mean:
Food Babe's Sour Cream & Onion Dip Recipe
Makes 1-2 cups
Ingredients:

1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large yellow onion, sliced thin
2 garlic cloves, minced
¼ teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon coconut aminos
1 cup plain Greek yogurt

Instructions:

Heat the oil in a sauté pan over medium heat. Add the onions and let them cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
Add the remaining ingredients except the yogurt. Turn the heat to low and cook for 12 to 15 minutes or until the onions have caramelized. Let the mixture cool.
In a bowl, add the yogurt. Once the onions have cooled, add them to the bowl and mix well.
Serve with veggie sticks or desired accompaniment.

Pro tip: Skip the toxic non-stick cookware (coated in PFAS, PFOS, PFOA and PTFE). I use my 360 Cookware Saute Pan daily.
