Dear John,

This month has been a whirlwind in the fight to protect the Boundary Waters — and we’ve secured some major victories. Thanks to intense advocacy in Washington, D.C., dangerous anti-Wilderness language was removed from the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill,” which would have opened the door to toxic copper mining in the watershed of America’s most visited Wilderness.

In Minnesota, the State legislative session just wrapped, and this year brought more threats to the Boundary Waters than ever before. Our team was on defense against multiple bills that would have weakened critical environmental protections. And we held the line.

But make no mistake — the fight is far from over.

Join us TOMORROW, Thursday, June 12, at 12 PM CT for a virtual update on where things stand and what comes next for America’s favorite Wilderness.

You’ll hear from:

Ingrid Lyons, Executive Director of Save the Boundary Waters, on next steps in Congress, our federal strategy, and how we’re fighting to protect the Wilderness under the current administration.

Amanda Hefner, State Manager, with a breakdown of our efforts at the Minnesota Capitol and the critical role the State plays in the larger fight.

This is your chance to get up to speed, hear what’s at stake, and learn how you can take action to protect this irreplaceable place.
