I couldn’t be more thrilled to have been elected the new chair of the Ohio Democratic Party.

I decided to run because I knew we could build a stronger, more inclusive, and more energized movement that will put us in a position to win in the months and years ahead.

Ohio means everything to me – that’s why I’ve spent my entire career working here in public service. As a state representative, county commissioner, and voting rights advocate, I’ve spent decades championing Ohio’s working class families and fighting for the dignity of work.

I know what it takes to run a winning campaign, and I pledge that I can and will do the work necessary to help our incredible candidates across the state.

That’s right, I’m jumping right in, because we’ve got our mid-month fundraising deadline in a matter of days, and at the end of the month, our numbers will go public for all to see. Let’s show the GOP what we’re made of.
