Hundreds of Mayors from all over the country are standing with Los Angeles and speaking out against President Trump’s deployment of the National Guard.

Let’s be clear: this is not just about LA. The Trump Administration is using our city as a test case to lay the groundwork for the federal government to move in and rip authority away from state or local governments across the country.

The Trump administration told us they were going after violent criminals, gang members, and drug dealers. But they went after people in a Home Depot parking lot, and they’re targeting families and children. And now, they’ve deployed the National Guard to cause more fear and chaos in our city.

That does not make Los Angeles safer.
