OilPrice.com (6/10/25) reports: "The computing industry is running out of energy. Though the technology in computer chips has been growing smaller and more energy efficient at a rapid clip for decades, advancements are set to slow down rapidly due to fundamental physical limitations. This is unfortunate timing, as the tech sector’s energy demands (and chip demands) are set to skyrocket as the growth of artificial intelligence’s already prodigious energy footprint outpaces the growth of new energy production capacity."

"If it’s not renewables, what’s it going to be?"

Fox News (6/10/25) reports: "Israel deported Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg on Tuesday, a day after the Gaza-bound ship she was on was seized by Israeli military... Thunberg was one of 12 passengers on the Madleen. Israeli naval forces seized the boat without incident early Monday about 125 miles off Gaza. Thunberg and three other activists were transported to Ben Gurion Airport to be deported, while eight others — including a member of the European Parliament — refused to sign deportation paperwork, according to the Times of Israel."

The trend continues.

Energy in Depth (6/10/25) reports: The Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) 2024 U.S. Energy-Related Carbon Dioxide Emissions report confirms once again what industry experts have long known: natural gas continues to be the leading force behind reductions in carbon dioxide emissions from the U.S. power sector."

Signing day.

Reuters (6/11/25) reports: "U.S. President Donald Trump will sign three resolutions on Thursday approved by lawmakers barring California's electric vehicle sales mandates and diesel engine rules, auto industry and House aides told Reuters. Trump is signing resolutions of disapproval under the Congressional Review Act to bar California's landmark plan to end the sale of gasoline-only vehicles by 2035, which has been adopted by 11 other states and representing a third of the U.S. auto market. Trump will sign one resolution to repeal a waiver granted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under former Democratic President Joe Biden in December, allowing California to mandate that at least 80% of vehicles be electric vehicles by 2035. Trump will also sign a resolution approved by Congress to rescind the EPA's 2023 approval of California's plans to require a rising number of zero-emission heavy-duty trucks, and another resolution on California's low-NOx, or low-nitrogen oxide, regulation for heavy-duty highway and off-road vehicles and engines."
