Friend --
We’ve all seen reports of a Military Parade to coincide with
Trump’s Birthday.
Rolling tanks through Washington, D.C. doesn’t reduce wait
times at the VA. Parades don’t protect veterans’ benefits from
being stripped away. And spending millions on a spectacle to stroke
political egos does nothing to help those who’ve served transition to
civilian life.
If we truly want to honor our military, that means delivering on
the promises that were made to our veterans. That means passing a
budget that respects their sacrifice. That means instead of wasting
millions on a parade, put that $ into veterans’ programs.
This Thursday, join us at 1 PM EST for a Country
First Day of Action as we rally against a reckless
budget that breaks faith with our veterans, harms hardworking
Americans who qualify for critical services, and explodes our national
debt.
Promises made must be promises
kept.
And if you’re ready to do even more—use this
link to find the nearest protest near you.
On June 14th, while the government spends millions on a parade to
satisfy the President’s ego, Americans across the country will
be taking to the streets to defend democracy.
Find a protest in your area, show up, and use the tools Country
First has provided to make your voice heard through civil protest.
Together, we can turn frustration into action—and action into
impact.
